The Patriots scored a touchdown right before halftime of Sunday’s AFC championship game to cut what was a two-score Jaguars lead down to one. But New England’s scoring drive came with a casualty for its offense.
He had already lost the ball and was falling before I even pushed him, Howard said. I just thought that it was something that shouldn’t have been called at that point in the game. They should have just let the clock run out and let the teams duel it out in overtime.
Olynyk saw it a little different.
We were just trying to push the ball and make a play and they fouled, Olynyk said.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said his team has worked on that scenario in practice with his point guards, but never with the 7-foot Olynyk.
I think it surprised them, Spoelstra said.
Foles showed no sign of injury throughout the game as he completed 26 of 33 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns. He also posted a perfect passer rating in the second half.
If it’s hard for you to believe Foles is playing so well, don’t feel bad. The man himself can hardly make sense of it all.
Indiana made itself at home at an arena that’s rarely hospitable to visiting teams.
Victor Oladipo scored 19 points and the Pacers defeated San Antonio 94-86 on Sunday night, snapping the Spurs’ 14-game home winning streak.
San Antonio lost at home for the third time this season and the first since Nov. 10 against Milwaukee.
